FAQ

  • How can therapy help me?

Therapy can provide support, problem-solving skills, and enhanced coping strategies for life’s concerns. By making the commitment you are taking responsibility to accept where you're at now and making a commitment to change the situation! Growth in therapy greatly depends on how well you use the process and the effort you put into practice what you learn in real-world situations.

  • How long will I be in therapy for?

Understandably, we want to understand the cost—in time, energy, and money—before committing to the therapeutic process. The number of sessions needed depends on many factors and the therapist will discuss this with you individually. Things such as presenting concerns, goals, finances, and your emotional capacity assist in creating a timeline.

  • What If we’re not a good fit?

You’re encouraged to communicate any concerns with your therapist! We want to know about your experience and have plenty of experience negativing difficult conversations. One of the most important factors is feeling you can trust and connect to your provider. If after discussing your concerns things still don’t feel right, then a referral can be made.

  • Can I follow you on social media?

You’re welcome to follow the practice, but as a matter of privacy, we refrain from following clients’ profiles. This will maintain privacy, personal boundaries, and the chance to get to know you without distractions! Be mindful of potential confidentially risks that connecting online may have when weighing your choice.

  • Do you take insurance?

We now accept Optum/UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Lyra Health. If we’re not contracted with your provider, we can accommodate self-pay and out-of-network options. Contact your insurance company directly to verify your out-of-network coverage.

  • Do you offer a sliding scale?

Our practice reserves a percentage of availability for those who have Medicaid or are not insured. Individualized agreements will be made for those who are not able to pay set fees. The agreement will include the payment amount, the number of sessions, cancellation fees, etc.
